Muddy Waters Times Three

This was a series of shots I took with my SLR film camera many years ago in the Chateau Laurier Ballroom in Ottawa (c. 1982?). 50mm lens, no flash, sitting on the floor about 2 feet from the stage. I always wanted to get into a darkroom with the negatives and merge the images into the kind of image you see here.

Once I got a scanner with a transparancy adaptor it became possible to stitch them together. I also applied some other tricks in order to make the images have a seamless background as the lighting varied fom left to right making it hard to match.

Willie Dixon

Taken at the Montral Jazz Festival, 1982 or 83. Similar to the Muddy Waters, in that I digitized the image in order to work with it and then applied some filters.
