Going Back To Portugal

It’s been 12 years since we first went to Portugal. We enjoyed the experience so when cheap airfares came up we jumped on them. Right now we are at 106668 meters above Alberta en route to Montreal from where we fly to Lisbon. Hopefully we can get a good smoked meat sandwich at airport as we have a few hours layover but not really enough time to go down to Schwartz’s.

This trip will start in Lisbon for a few days, then take us south to the south coast near Sagres, to Evora, then Monsanto in the middle latitudes close to Spain, Coimbra and then to Porto for the last bit. A rental cal will get us from Lisbon to Porto and all ports in between.

We’re looking forward to the food and the wine and some sightseeing obviously but aside from the moving around are going to try to take things slowly. Find some nice coffee shops, some jazz, Fado music and Pastels de Nata. Seafood? Oh yeah. Cheese and bread? Of course. Meat? Obrigado! ;)

...a few hours later!
